Culture and creativity
UVic's Visual Arts department has been an essential part of Victoria's cultural scene for decades, and continues to enjoy long-standing relationships with the city's cultural institutions. In addition to frequent off-campus exhibits by faculty, students and alumni, we host a variety of cultural events throughout the year. You are welcome to join us for any of the following annual events, the majority of which are free to attend.

- UVic's Ideafest (March)
- BFA graduation exhibit & opening (April)
- MFA graduation exhibit & opening (March - May)
- Halloni student party (October)
- Sprung student party (March)
In addition to these scheduled events, we also host a number of ad hoc exhibits, fashion shows, feasts and happenings — most of which can pop up at any time. The public is always welcome!
