Yasuko Thanh is the author of four books. Her fiction works include the short story collection Floating like the Dead, whose title story won the Journey Prize, the novel Mysterious Fragrance of the Yellow Mountains, which won the Writers Trust Fiction prize, the Victoria Butler Book Prize, and was nominated for the Amazon First Novel Award, and To the Bridge (Penguin Random House, 2023). Her nonfiction works include the best-selling memoir Mistakes to Run With, as well as articles for The Globe and Mail, The Walrus, Hazlitt, Brick Magazine, and Journalists for Human Rights. Her fifth book, a novel, The Falling Maria, is due out in 2027.
