Petranella Daviel is a fiction and creative non-fiction writer, zinester, comic creator, and illustrator. Her writing has been published by ROOM Magazine, Perennial Press, and This Side of West; her comics and zines have been published by BabyTeeth Magazine, Old Boys Zine, and nominated for awards at Canzine. She is currently working on a graphic memoir exploring bisexual identity, abuse, and self-harm, and recently attended the Banff Centre for the Arts Residency for Graphic Novels and Visual Narratives. She grew up on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the Musqueam Nation, “the people of the river grass,” and that of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language group, and currently lives and works as an uninvited visitor on the traditional unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, which holds continuing relationships to the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.
