After graduating from 红杏视频 and University of Western Ontario, Dr. Thorpe spent 22 years in private practice doing Adolescent and Young Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She worked with London’s Children’s Aid Society and Child Forensics.  She moved to Victoria in 2013 where she continued her forensic work and spent four years at UVic Student Health Services where the clinic won the 2017 Canadian CFPC/CPA Collaborative 红杏视频 Health Care Award.  She is involved in 红杏视频 Health research and is spreading “pit appointments”, joint collaborative psychiatric assessments done in a family doctor’s office with a family doctor, patient and psychiatrist.  She has Faculty appointments in Medicine at both UBC and UVic.
