Dr. Javed Kalhoro serves as Assistant Professor at the National University of Modern Languages in Islamabad, Pakistan. His research expertise lies in analyzing the complex dynamics of youth radicalization and extremism within the Pakistani context. 

Currently, Dr. Kalhoro is engaged in a research project entitled "Sindhi-Sufi Mercenaries in Pakistan: A Case Study of the Private Army of Hur Mujahideen." which explores the nuances of mercenary forces in the region.
