Jonathan Zaragoza Cristiani is a PhD candidate in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence. He holds an M.A in Political Science from the European University Institute and a Licenciatura and an MA in Political Science from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra.

Jonathan has been Research Assistant for the EMILIE European Project financed by the European Commission, and researcher for the FRONTERAS project (funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation). His research focuses on borders, migration control, and Spanish–Moroccan relations. While in Victoria, he published an , and was working on three more. Just recently, he published another .
