Faculty Fellow
Centre for Global Studies

Darlene Clover began her fellowship at CFGS in July 2024 and has been a professor at UVic since 2004 in the Faculty of Education. Her areas of teaching and study are critical and feminist adult education, arts-based research and museums. Darlene says ‘I have always lived and worked internationally and walking around the halls of CFGS this week was to be immersed in that world here at home. It gave me a very different view of this university.’

Darlene’s research focus is women’s and gender museums and how they visualise and tell stories to address the pressing gender and social injustice issues of our time. As part of her feminist research and knowledge mobilisation practice, she develops zines, graphic reports, guidebooks, videos and curate both physical and virtual exhibitions. She has been invited to curate part of a global exhibition here in CFGS in September. The title is Visibility / Invisibility: (Re)Ordering Gender and she looks forward to discussions with you all about its process and content.
