Saeid is a a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at UVic, specializing in green shipping corridors and energy transition within the maritime industry. His research focuses on the Pacific Northwest to Alaska cruise corridor, where he assess sustainable energy solutions to develop an environmentally friendly, economically viable marine route that complies with national and international regulations.
Saeid holds a master’s degree in Maritime Energy Management from the World Maritime University. Additionally, he worked as a marine engineer on ocean-going vessels for about six years, where he learned to handle high-stress situations, overcome challenges, and find optimal solutions with limited resources. His motto: nothing is impossible for a sea man!
