Hello! My name is Alyssa and I started MSc in Kinesiology with the Digital Health Lab in January 2020. I first moved to Victoria right out of high school to complete my undergraduate degree in Recreation and Health Education.

After completing my degree I was lucky enough for the opportunity to conduct research at Thomas More University in Geel, Belgium. In Belgium, I was working on creating an application that tracks physical activity for people in wheelchairs. I enjoyed working on a project that uses technology to promote health and wellness and it led me to join the Digital Health Lab. I am excited to be back in Victoria working on the cell phone project with Dr. Sam Liu.

Outside of the lab you will find me hanging out with friends, playing sports, cycling around the island and trying to find the next best brunch spot.
