CHEM 364: Physical Chemistry Laboratory
The experiments in this course are designed to teach and practice techniques in measurement and data analysis (including evaluation of measurement uncertainty) as they pertain to the three key areas of physical chemistry: thermodynamics, kinetics, and quantum mechanics. The emphasis is on new experimental skills rather than new concepts. In most cases, experiments will reinforce previously covered concepts from the pre-requisite courses Chem 212 and 245. If new concepts are introduced, experiments can be carried out using only the information supplied by your TA during the training sessions and without fully understanding these concepts.
