How to send an official transcript
Important note
UVic will only accept an official transcript if it is sent directly from the issuing organization. Transcripts sent by applicants are not considered official.
Canadian high schools
- Arrange for the Ministry of Education to send your official electronic transcript to UVic via (STS).
- You'll receive further instructions after you submit your application to UVic.
- If you've written Advanced Placement exams, log into the AP College Board's online score reporting system and .
- Arrange for Alberta Education to send your official transcript to UVic via .

- If you're a current high school student and provided your , your official transcript will be sent to us automatically.
- If you don't have an OUAC reference number, arrange for your school to send your official transcript to admsscanning@uvic.ca or the address below.
- If you aren't a current high school student, arrange for your previous high school to send your official transcript to admsscanning@uvic.ca or the address below.
- If you've written Advanced Placement exams, log into the AP College Board's online score reporting system and .
- Arrange for your CEGEP institution or Grade 12-equivalent high school to send your official transcript to admsscanning@uvic.ca or the address below.
- Order your transcript through the .
- You'll receive an email informing you when your transcript is ready to be viewed and shared with a post-secondary institution.
- Send the sharing link provided by MyCreds to admsscanning@uvic.ca.
- Arrange for your official transcript to be sent directly by your high school or provincial ministry of education to admsscanning@uvic.ca or the address below.

Transcripts are sent by the high school in:

- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
Transcripts are sent by the provincial ministry of education in:
- Newfoundland and Labrador
- Northwest Territories
- Nunavut
International high schools
If your official transcript is written in a language other than English or French, it must also include a notarized English translation by a certified translator.

If your official transcript is written in a language other than English or French, it must also include a notarized English translation by a certified translator.

Undergraduate Admissions addresses
Official transcripts should be sent electronically whenever possible, but we will also accept transcripts by mail or by courier. We will not accept transcripts any other way.

We do not usually return transcripts. If your official transcript is irreplaceable, it may be returned to you upon written request.
