Project management for biomedical device development
A partnership between The Gustavson School of Business and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Project Management for Biomedical Device Development program offers a short, online program that provides industry-relevant training in the practical aspects of biomedical device development, covering project planning, intellectual property and regulatory frameworks, and effective communication with stakeholders. The program includes three modules: project scoping and management, understanding intellectual property and regulatory standards, and strategies for inclusive communication. Upon completion, you’ll earn a certificate from UVic, Professional Development Units (PDUs) from PMI, and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) from the Engineering Institute of Canada.
2D Graphics and processing essentials for video games
In partnership with DigiBC, the Micro-credential program 2D Graphics and Processing Essentials for Video Games provides essential skills for BC’s digital media and gaming industries, focusing on the creation and manipulation of advanced, interactive 2D graphics for video games and extended reality applications. Key competencies include computer graphics principles, 2D graphics techniques such as Fourier analysis and image filtering, use of software tools like Unity, and the importance of User Interface (UI) in graphics development. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate of completion from UVic.
3D Graphics and processing essentials for video games
Offered in partnership with DigiBC, the Micro-credential program 3D Graphics and Processing Essentials for Video Games equips you with the foundational skills needed in BC's digital media and gaming industries, focusing on 3D graphics development for video games and extended reality applications. Key competencies covered include computer graphics principles, 3D graphics fundamentals, use of relevant software tools like Unreal Engine, and the role of User Interface (UI) design in graphics development. Upon completion, you'll earn a certificate of completion from UVic.
