EQHR is hosting a graduate student competition for 5 Days of Action centring the topic of equity and/or social change within research. Submit your presentation abstract responding to one of the prompts below by October 4th to be considered for our Days of Action event Great IDEAs!

Whether it's the visual arts, poetry, fiction, music, or performance -- we invite all UVic students from all artistic disciplines to submit. The exhibition will be curated to mirror the themes of the 5 Days of Action: Listen, Reflect, Dialogue, Engage and Take Action.

This course supports participants in embedding equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and anti-oppression within ARPT committees and other academic decision processes at UVic so that they will be inclusive of diverse forms of excellence. The 2024 version of the course has numerous updates, including a significantly revised section that reviews the harms of colonialism and the ways they limit our vision of academia and scholarship. Alternate ways to view service, pedagogy and research from outside of colonialism are explored.

The Sexualized Violence Resource Office (SVRO) is piloting an anonymous Disclosure service for anyone impacted by sexualized violence.
