Nurse Educator
The Master of Nursing Nurse Educator program (NUED) program prepares nurses with the skills to influence nursing practice in both healthcare delivery and academic settings. The program is practice-oriented and theory-based, intended to prepare nurses for advanced nurse educator roles in a variety of settings.
Please refer to the UVic Graduate Calendar for admission and program requirements. NUED is offered via distance learning (primarily web-based asynchronous). NUED is designed to be completed in 24 months of full time study. See below for example course sequencing for full-time course-based (2 courses per semester over two years) or part-time (1 course per semester over four years) as well as the thesis option.
Students admitted through the UVIc-BCIT Graduate Pathway will receive block credit = 4.5 units.
Students interested in the thesis option must meet the criteria for the MN Thesis option as outlined in the Graduate Calendar.
