Pablo Gonzalez-Nieto, SDH MSc student, together with Substance Drug Checking based at CISUR have recently published their research in the International Journal of Drug Policy.

Jeff joins us from Queen’s University, where he is Canada Research Chair in Environmental Health Equity. A health geographer and critical health promotion scholar, he is known for his contributions to research, policy, and practice at the intersection between environmental and social wellbeing in an unequal world.

Dr. Sarah Wright Cardinal and elected Council member Tracy Charlie of the Pacheedaht First Nation (PFN), are co-leading a ground-breaking project, Reclaiming Nuu-chah-nulth teachings to empower and strengthen the roles and responsibilities of Pacheedaht young men.

A contemporary roots duo featuring sibling songwriters Leela Gilday and Jay Gilday. Sechile Sedare (pronounced 'seh-chee-leh' 'seh-dahr-eh') means 'my younger brother, my older sister' in the Denelanguage. This musical collaboration sees Jay and Leela co-write and co-create new repertoire together, harnessing their talents as deeply insightful and genuine storytellers. Their voices blend inperfect harmony, hitting notes of nostalgia, hope, humour and reflection. The songs, created during lockdown in 2021 and during a residency at the Banff Centre, share stories about their familyhistory, their connection to the land and water, and the twists and turns of fate.

The Spirit Horse Returns is a captivating concert for all ages that blends traditional North American Indigenous teachings, stunning visual art, and a rich orchestral score to tell powerfulstories and legends of the Ojibwe Horses. A collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous co-creators, it takes audiences on a journey through time, exploring the history of the Ojibwe horsesas helpers and spirit guides for First Nations and Métis people, and how they were affected by the arrival of settlers, the Gold Rush, and Pony Express. The show has an inspired and upliftingmessage, as groups come together to rescue the last of the Ojibwe horses, giving them new life and hope.
