Activerse Physical Activity App Trial

Apple Watch on a wrist

We have designed a 4-week mobile app program called Activerse for adults who want to increase their daily physical activity. The app includes tailored content to encourage participants to get moving, with options to choose from a variety of fun physical activity suggestions created by an exercise professional just for this program! The app prompts are personalized based on recent activity measured by participants' Apple Watches.

To test the app, we're looking for adults who own an Apple Watch and who are not getting at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per week.

Chatbots for Diabetes Management

image

This project aims to investigate the implementation of chatbots (including a customized version of ChatGPT) into the management of Type 2 Diabetes via physical activity. The study will try and tease out how healthcare providers and individuals with lived experience with diabetes really feel about AI, and whether they feel chatbots are useful and safe tools that could eventually be implemented into diabetes management.

Participating in this study is a unique opportunity to contribute to the understanding of artificial intelligence and its applications in the medical field.

This study evaluated the effectiveness of each program version for improving health-related outcomes in children at risk for being above a healthy weight.

Data collection for this trial is nearly complete! Stay tuned for study results in late 2025!
