Masters
The MSc degree is a two-year program that incorporates both courses and research. Most students complete their courses during the first year and concentrate on research in the second, although your exact program will be determined by you and your supervisor.
You'll need to complete the minimum number of course units, a written research thesis and an oral defence. See the program requirements.
Transferring to the PhD program
Transfer to the PhD program without completion of the MSc is possible, normally within the first 16 months of entering the MSc program. Learn more about MSc to PhD transfer.
