Our edge:
- Ian Manners joined UVic in 2018 as a Canada 150 Research Chair and is leading the Laboratory for Synthetic Self-Assembled Materials. Recently featured in , the team developed a new way to achieve functionalized surfaces.
- He joined six other Canada Research Chairs with research related to Materials Science.
- The Advanced Microscopy Facility is home to a Scanning Transmission Electron Holography Microscope (STEHM) with spatial resolutions that are are among the best in the world.
