We acknowledge and respect the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory the University of Victoria stands, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. As a part of the University of Victoria, Child Care is committed to the university’s “ongoing work of decolonizing and indigenizing the university both inside and outside the classroom.”
University of Victoria (UVic) Child Care operates from four locations on campus providing innovative, creative, and responsive child care for children from infancy to pre-kindergarten, for families who are UVic students, staff and faculty.
Our programs operate in accordance with the BC Community Care and Assisted Living Act’s current Child Care Licensing Regulation and our programming in based upon the vision, principles and areas of learning in the .
