UVic staff and faculty are strongly encouraged to book flights via the UVic Travel portal or a Direct Travel agent. Direct Travel has unique experience in booking educational travel including for large groups and sports teams, along with 24/7 after-hours and emergency support.

Direct Travel also monitors your itinerary; if your flight is cancelled or delayed, representatives will inform you and act immediately to secure alternative flights or accomodations if necessary.

For flight quotes with Harbour Air please visit:   

Option One: 

Book Light or Value fare tickets directly via the Harbour Air website and pay with ccard. Please note that these fare types are cheaper but less flexible rules apply. 

Option Two: 

A discount is offered for booking Flex or Comfort fare via the Uvic Turbobucks account. Obtain fare quote from Harbour Air website and submit WebReq with the following information: 

• passenger name & e-mail address 
• state if passenger is a guest of UVic or an employee. Provide V# for employees. 
• flight time/dates
• fare class (Flex or Comfort) 
• HAS# (Harbour Air customer number if person has travelled with Harbour Air before) if known 
• obtain signing authority approval via WebReq and submit to Purchasing

Purchasing will request the flight booking and Harbour Air will confirm via e-mail. The discounted fare will be charged to the FAST account approved via the WebReq.
