Become a Student Life Mentor
The Student Life Mentor (SLM) role is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is interested in engaging UVic students in conversations about student life and campus resources, and to act as a guide for navigating the campus community!
SLMs act as peer leaders in fostering relationships and community for all UVic students, mentoring student engagement and growth, and facilitating peer-based support and education initiatives.
The Office of Student Life is recruiting SLMs to participate in four (4) distinct program teams for the 2025-2026 academic year. Program teams include:
- Orientation
- Short-term; June 2025-September 2025 availability required

- Continuous; June 2025-April 2026 availability required

- Continuous; June 2025-April 2026 availability required

- Continuous; June 2025-April 2026 availability required

You may apply to multiple teams but can only be accepted to one continuous program team, in addition to Orientation. SLMs may be selected for Orientation on its own, a continuous program on its own, or both Orientation and a continuous program.
