NETS will be making an update to the UVicStart guest wireless network at 6 AM on April 28, 2025. Clients connecting will not notice a difference, there may be a momentary disconnect but users will immediately rejoin.
Work will be completed by 6:05 AM.

Effective 1 day from now: Network Services will be applying a minor security patch bundle to the operating system and software code on the production LoadBalancers on April 30th, 2025 starting at 6:00 am.
Active service will move from EDC2 to EDC1 running the patched version. If there are no problems noted then the EDC2 loadbalancer will be patched and active service restored to EDC2.
Only one LoadBalancer is being upgraded at a time and they operate in failover mode so there should be no extended downtime. Some connections to services may be reset requiring the user to re-enter credentials when active service is moved between data centers.
This informed will be updated after the change is complete.
