National and international exchanges
Our undergraduate programs has close connections with several undergraduate programs in Québec and France. Contact our Study Elsewhere Adviser for more details.
We encourage you to gain experience outside the classroom by participating in one (or several) of the following programs:
- : a 5-week summer language program in Québec or other locations across Canada. Offered normally once every two years
- Field school program: Spend a month immersed in the language and culture of a francophone country and earn 3 units of third-year UVic credit.
- Co-op program: alternate terms in class with paid work terms in positions related to your field of study.
- : a full-time language assistant program.
- SciencesPo: participate in an exchange program in France's preeminent university for social sciences.
- at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
- Participate in an exchange to a Francophone University. You may contact the International & Exchange Student Services located in Room A205, University Centre and the where you will find more information on exchange programs and student placement. You may also organize your own program of study elsewhere independently of the Exchange program. Please consult the Undergraduate Adviser to select appropriate courses.
